Unrelated, but have a look at this if you're having trouble putting the laptop to "sleep" (Suspend) when you close the lid: Never realized how much I used those until I switched to Linux!

Not sure how to jump to the beginning / end of a line using the keyboard like you could with a Mac, though. With this setup you can also jump word-by-word by holding down Cmd and using the right left arrows. There might be better or easier ways to accommplish this, but this is the best way I've found so far.

This gave me the closest behaviour to a Mac OS "Cmd" key (copy, paste, etc). (I think this might be the original or more up to date version, not sure. There is also this, but I've never tried it and it might be out of date: Not sure 100% it will work for you, but try them if you haven't. I know this might sound silly, but have you tried the keyboard keys to turn up the keyboard backlight yet? When I installed Linux Mint I assumed that it wouldn't recognize those keys the way Mac OS did, but they do, for my machine at least (~2015). How can I get this fixed? I haven't found anything to fix it yet. I installed Linux Mint Cinnamon and everything seems to work except the keyboard backlight.
